Dear Readers, “Light & Engineering” is in part a translation of the Russian “Svetotekhnika”, one of the oldest (from 1932) and most authoritative journals in the world devoted to light and lighting research. This quarterly English edition carries the best articles from Russia and from around the world.

In 1993 - 1999, “Light & Engineering” was published by “Allerton Press”, New York. Starting from 2000, the journal is being issued by the “Znack Publishing House”, in Russia. The journal’s international editorial board consist of established scientists from Russia, the USA, Germany, Japan, Australia, Italy, Canada, the Netherlands, Israel, UK, France and Bulgaria.

The Journal "Light & Engineering" has been selected into Thomson Scientific database of "Science Citation Index Expanded" from Vol. 16, #1-2008

Translations of articles into Russian and preparing papers for publication are the responsibilities of the editorial staff.
